About The Show

From the Lower Ninth Ward to Congo Square, New Orleans has long been the hub of the ultimate music experience and a living museum of music. This is an inspiring, intimate look at the traditions associated with New Orleans music and the preservation of those traditions through the work of local musicians and educators who mentor young talent.

Featuring Ellis Marsalis, Trombone Shorty, the Mardi Gras Indians, Tipitina's, Snug Harbor, French Quarter Festival and more. Soundtrack composed by Irvin Mayfield. Produced for Public Television by Great Museums TV.
